UK Packaging Awards September 2011
After entering into the UK Packaging Awards 2011 we are delighted that following the judging session by a panel of industry experts, we have been shortlisted as a finalist in the Metal Pack of the Year category for Dominant Rosin.
Dominant Rosin is packed in a 20 gram tinplate container to accommodate the rosin block and cloth. Specific design features include rolled ‘Safety’ edge special deep lid and rolled ‘Safety’ edge base. The container is colour coated internally and printed externally in the Dominant Rosin design and a gloss varnish finish. The pack design and graphics were by Tomastik Infeld. This container has a unique usage with its clever design to apply rosin to violin synthetic core strings. It is small to fit into a violin case and it is tough to avoid damage when travelling. As the rosin is neatly wrapped in the tin with the application cloth the lid enables it to produce less dust. It is made from recyclable tinplate which gives the container strength and also makes it recyclable through household or curb-side waste collection.
The winners will be announced in November at a special black-tie event in London.
